About
Travel guides for the gigs you're going to
GigEncore helps people who travel for concerts: which date on the tour to pick, where to eat and drink near the venue, where to stay, and how to make a weekend of it.

Where our information comes from
- Concerts and venues come from Ticketmaster and are refreshed every night. Dates, statuses and listed prices can change, so always check your ticket.
- Places near venues and in our city plans come from OpenStreetMap, the open map built by volunteers. Walking times are our own estimates from distances, not live routing.
- Background facts about landmarks come from Wikidata and Wikipedia. We use them as sources of facts and write everything in our own words.
- Capacity and opening years of venues come from Wikidata.
- Photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences (public domain, CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA). Every photo is credited with its author and licence; artist photos are colour toned to match our design.
How we choose places
Recommendations follow fixed rules, not payments: distance from the venue, how well documented a place is in open data, independent places ahead of chains, and a cap on chains in every list. Places that turn out to be inside a venue or no longer relevant are removed by our editor.
How we use AI
Our city plans are written with the help of AI models, strictly from the facts listed above. Every plan goes through automatic checks (no invented places, prices or opening hours) and is reviewed by our editor before it is published. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will fix it.
